Add a direct donation page alongside Super Chat and memberships, share it around YouTube livestreams and show paid donations as alerts in OBS.
YouTube offers Super Chat, Super Stickers and memberships to eligible channels. A direct donation page is separate: it works through your own link and can offer iDEAL to Dutch viewers, including on channels that do not yet have every YouTube monetisation feature.
DonoLink works as an independent YouTube donation platform: your donation page, payments and OBS overlays are separate from YouTube, and the same link keeps working if you also stream on Twitch, Kick or TikTok later.
A donation link alongside Super Chat and memberships
You do not have to choose only one route. Super Chat is visible inside YouTube, memberships support recurring community benefits, and direct donations offer a straightforward external payment. Explain the differences so viewers can choose knowingly.
DonoLink has no subscription. DonoLink charges 3.5% per donation. Stripe charges processing fees separately: at standard rates, €0.29 for iDEAL and €0.35 for Bancontact. Step 1: create your YouTube donation page
Match your channel name and artwork, add a short description and connect payouts. Choose which payment methods you offer, such as iDEAL, card, Bancontact, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna, pick realistic amounts and verify the complete mobile checkout before sharing the URL.
Step 2: share the link around your livestream
Add it to the video description, channel links, pinned live-chat message and a bot command. Put the most important link above the description fold and label it as an external donation page.
Keep the label concrete, for example “Support the stream with iDEAL”: a Dutch viewer immediately knows what the link does, while a generic “support me” is skipped more often. For viewers on a TV or second screen, a QR code on screen is faster; DonoLink generates one for you.
Step 3: add YouTube donation alerts to OBS
In the overlay studio, create a donation alert with your own text, sound, animation and optional text to speech, add the DonoLink alerts browser source to OBS and send a test. You can also show a donation goal, recent donations and a leaderboard. Once a payment is confirmed, the alert appears and your goal updates, whether your stream is watched on YouTube alone or through a multistream. The OBS overlay guide covers the full setup.
Step 4: keep Super Chat and memberships on YouTube
Super Chats, Super Stickers and memberships remain YouTube features: YouTube processes the payment and the payout, and they currently do not appear as DonoLink alerts. Your DonoLink donation alerts work independently of them. Only direct payments through your DonoLink count in your DonoLink donation history and goal.

One creator link across YouTube, Twitch and Kick gives viewers a consistent page and keeps direct-donation records and alerts together. Platform-native subscriptions and messages still stay with their respective platforms.
